Visceral Manipulation is the specific application of manual techniques to re-establish the normal tone and function of the viscera and surrounding connective tissues. Visceral manipulation benefits the entire body by bringing a better circulation to the affected organ(s) to increase immune, glandular, or digestive functions. It is safe, gentle, and it works! Upon completion the student will be able to:
- Define what a visceral lesion and circulatory lesion is.
- Give the European history of how visceral manipulation works and its multiple uses.
- Give a detailed anatomical description of the digestive organs and abdominal circulation.
- Explain the physiology of digestion and circulation.
- Discuss how under different conditions (Body/Mind/Spirit) the digestive system may become irregular, irritable, or congested.
- Identify and elaborate on various digestive/circulatory difficulties or pathologies.
